We all know that in the Southwest Louisiana and Lake Charles area, people are willing to step up and help others. We are all also willing to support our local charities and organizations that do good things for our community.

One of those great organizations is our friends at Big Brothers and Big Sisters (BBBS) of Southwest Louisiana. They finally have been able to move back into their building more than two years late after hurricane Laura and Delta damaged their home.

The event will take place this Saturday, November 19, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at their office located at 4135 Common Street, Lake Charles, La. The public is welcome to attend and they would like to encourage you to learn more about their youth service program.

They will have fried fish, pizza, burgers, face painting, games, and music! Also, here is your chance for you and your family who may be interested in enrolling your child as a “Littles”.

BBBS is also looking for adults 18 or older who would like to become wanting to become a “Big”. You will be able to meet with their staff and current matches while enjoying the food and fun.

So go out and have some fun and who knows, it may change your or a child's life for the good.
