Over the last couple of years, especially post the coronavirus pandemic, online shopping has made an enormous impact on iconic store chains that have been around since our grandparents were in the prime of their lives. Though some have flourished, a great deal of them are barely keeping the doors open. There are certainly a variety of factors involved from a shortage of workers, low foot traffic due to COVID, financial constraints making it difficult to order supplies.

Whatever the reason, by year's end America is going to see some major store chains close their doors forever or downsize by closing hundreds of stores to keep afloat. As we move towards the end of 2021 we will have to say goodbye to some long-standing companies that can't make enough profits to stay open. Bed, Bath & Beyond is just one of the many big brands flatlining across the country with failed marketing strategies and expansion plans that are no longer feasible.

Some brands are desperate to stay open and going as far as to file for bankruptcy in a hail-Mary attempt to recover. Others are trying to stop the hemorrhaging by closing multiple locations. Sadly, many big-named brands are all out of options closing down for good. I guess if we love these stores and we want them to remain open, we all need to make a conscious effort and go back to shopping in person. Below are just a few big brand store chains, who've closed multiple locations.
