The Community Foundation of Northwest Louisiana has set up the COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund.

The goal of the program is to get help out quickly to non profit agencies dealing with this pandemic. This fund will award grants to nonprofits whose operations in support of elders and other vulnerable populations have been stressed by the outbreak.

Community Foundation CEO Kristi Gustavson says:

As the coronavirus is likely in its early stages in North Louisiana, it is imperative that we work together to support our vital nonprofits who will be called upon to increase their capacity. As communities experience uncertainty, job loss and the closure of institutions, nonprofits will experience increased caseloads to assist those in need. The fund is designed to give added support to those nonprofit organizations on the front lines of assisting our most vulnerable citizens.
