Golden Nugget Opens In Lake Charles [PHOTOS]

Yesterday I had the opportunity to go check out the new Golden Nugget in Lake Charles which is now open!

I arrived around 11:00 a.m. for the ribbon cutting and press conference.  Just like a Vegas style casino, it was complete with a New Orleans jazz band and showgirls.

The Golden Nugget is full of great places to eat as well.  The $700 million dollar facility is complete with a  Landry’s Seafood, Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse, Saltgrass Steak House, Cadillac Bar, Grotto Ristorante, Lillie’s Asian Cuisine, Michael Patrick’s Brasserie, The Buffet and also features the Florida based cocktail lounge called the Blue Martini.

We ate there yesterday and it was terrific!

We took a tour of the rooms to and let me tell you they are top notch.  From free standing tubs in the middle of the room to a nook to eat your leftovers or room service, you will enjoy your stay here!

Then there is their 1800 seat grand ballroom where concerts will be held in and what is really cool is that it is located on the second floor.

They already have three big entertainers lineup in the first 2 months of 2015.  In January, they will have Leann Rimes on January 17th and legendary Country music icon Merle Haggard on January 31st.  Then get ready because on February 6th and 7th, Alabama will be here!  Wow that is how you kick things off!

Then there is the casino.  It is massive!  I mean really big!  Check out these pictures I took.

It is a must see ladies and gentleman!  Let the fun begin in Lake Charles.  The new South Las Vegas!
