Today we will say goodbye to a legend in country music when George Jones will be laid to rest.  His funeral is today and starts at 10:00 a.m. and will be held inside the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville.

Giants of the industry will be on hand to pay tribute to a legend and Jones funeral will be broadcast live on CMT (Country Music Television).  We have a list of he country music stars and friends scheduled to be on hand to pay tribute to 'The Possum' George Jones.

Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney and former first lady Laura Bush will be among those paying tribute to George Jones during his funeral at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. CMT will televise the service Thursday (May 2) at 10 a.m. CT.

The coverage will be hosted by CMT's Cody Alan and Katie Cook. Jackson, Paisley, Kid Rock, Ronnie Milsap, Vince Gill, Charlie Daniels and Randy Travis will perform musical tributes to the Country Music Hall of Fame member who died Friday at age 81.

Eulogies will be provided by Chesney, Bush, Barbara Mandrell, CBS-TV newsman Bob Schieffer and Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam. The funeral is open to the public.
