Authorities in Baton Rouge told WBRZ TV reporter Michael Vinsanau the teenage girl driving that car is "lucky to be alive" after she rear-ended a school bus Thursday morning and got trapped in her car.

Louisiana State Police say the girl and her passenger, a teenage boy, were on their way to school. The car, as seen in the photo and video, became lodged underneath the back of the bus. The driver was pinned inside for an hour and a half before emergency personnel could get her out. According to Vinsanau's tweets, it took two attempts to get the vehicle out from under the bus.

Amazingly, authorities say she and her passenger appeared to have suffered only moderate, non-life-threatening injuries. The students and driver of the bus were evaluated, but showed no signs of injury.
