If there is some good news, yesterday the National Hurricane Center forecast Delta to be a Category 3 major hurricane when making landfall/ Today, it seems the storm will be a Category 2 when it slams into Cameron's coast.

  • Today - Tropical storm conditions expected, with hurricane conditions possible. Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm, then showers after 7:00am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 76. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts in excess of four inches possible.
  • Tonight - Hurricane conditions expected. Showers likely, mainly before midnight. The rain could be heavy at times. Cloudy, with a low around 69. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between two and three inches possible.
  • Saturday - A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly between 8:00am and 1:00pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. West wind 10 to 15mph, with gusts as high as 20mph.
  • Saturday Night - Mostly clear, with a low around 68. West wind around 5mph.
