Winter Weather Advisory Issued
Most people think snow in Southwest Louisiana is a reason to go outside and enjoy this very rare occurrence. It is fun until you have to drive over roads that are covered in ice. That may be what we encounter tomorrow morning so the National Weather Service has issued a warning.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON CST FRIDAY... * TIMING...9 PM THURSDAY THROUGH NOON FRIDAY. * ACCUMULATIONS: TOTAL ACCUMULATION OF FREEZING RAIN...SLEET... AND SNOW EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW 1/4 OF AN INCH...MAINLY ON GRASS AREAS. DUE TO THE PROLONGED FREEZING TEMPERATURES EXPECTED...SOME ACCUMULATION ON ELEVATED ROADWAYS SUCH AS BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES CAN BE EXPECTED FRIDAY MORNING. * IMPACTS: ANY ICE ACCUMULATION WILL FREEZE ONTO BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES OVERNIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING...CREATING HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS.
