Viator Says 2011 Recruiting Class Is A “Great Class”

Today was the day Cowboys Fans!!! This is where McNeese and other University's sign High School Football players for there football programs. Here is the 2011 signing class for the McNeese Cowboy's!

McNeese State head football coach Matt Viator announced a signing of 25 student athletes on Wednesday, three of them already on the Cowboy campus.

Viator said that he and his coaching staff signed 22 incoming freshmen and three transfers who enrolled at the university for the spring semester.

"We are very happy with the class," the Cowboy coach said. "It's a great class with good quality student athletes who will fill the areas that we needed to address."

Quarterback Riley Dodge, wide receiver Ernest Celestie and tight end Josh Jordan transferred in and are taking part in off season workouts now and will be involved with spring training which will begin March 15.

High school seniors signing with the Cowboys included three running backs, a quarterback, seven defensive backs, three offensive linemen, one defensive end-tight end, two wide receivers and five defensive linemen.
