The McNeese Cowboys baseball team are coming off a three game sweep of Houston Baptist over the weekend and they will need to take that winning momentum into this Wednesday nights game when they take on the #1 team in the country.

Well it's a team from right down I-10. The Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns Baseball jumped to No. 1 in this week's Collegiate Baseball poll. The Cajuns are also No. 3 in the USA Today Coaches and the Baseball America polls.

The Cajuns are 30-3 on the season and have won six straight and 20 of their last 21 games.

The McNeese Cowboys Baseball team are 19-11 on season and 9-3 in Southland Conference play.

Fans are encouraged to get their tickets early as capacity crowd of 2,200 is expected. Also the first 200 fans in attendance will receive a free blue and gold trucker cap while the McNeese Athletic Engagement Committee has sponsored 500 caps to be handed out to McNeese students.
