Guess which Louisiana city has the BEST July 4th fireworks show in the state. Go on, guess!

According to onlyinyourstate.com, the Red, White, Blue and You Festival right here in Lake Charles is the #1 fireworks show in all of Louisiana. That's right, we beat out places like Shreveport, Baton Rouge, and even New Orleans this year. Go us!

Currently in its 19th year, Red, White, Blue and You kicks off with a street parade downtown at 6pm, followed by live music from Mikey Smith at 6:45.

At 8pm, the Lake Charles Community Band will perform a salute to America's armed forces, along with the Louisiana Choral Foundation & Friends.

Then, at 9:15, the festival culminates with the spectacular Fireworks Over the Lake show, with a patriotic musical accompaniment brought to you by 92.9 The Lake and Lakeside Bank.

The route for the parade has changed a little this year, due to construction going on at the Ryan/Clarence intersection. It will start on Mill Street, then go on an adventure down Bilbo, before turning onto Kirby and making its way to Lakeshore Drive.

Check the map below for the full route.

The festival is also completely free, so get there early and be ready to have a great time celebrating the Fourth of July this year with the best fireworks show in the state. Line up along the parade route to catch some beads and candy, then go grab a bite to eat at one of the food booths that will be on site while you listen to the free concerts before settling in to watch the fireworks.

Did we mention they're the best in the state?
