According to a City of Lake Charles media release, the 700 Block of Ryan Street will close temporarily on Monday, March 5, and Tuesday, March 6, to allow Entergy crews to perform maintenance to the Underground Network in downtown Lake Charles, to pull in new feeder cables.

The 700 block of Ryan Street will close for work beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday, and reopen when construction is complete at the end of each day.

"For the remainder of the week, Entergy crews will still be working in various manholes along Ryan Street, which could create lane closures, but there should not be a need to close the entire street", said the media release. "This work should not cause any power outages to customers served from the Downtown Network. Detours will be posted, and flagmen will be on hand to assist in traffic control."

Check back each day for the latest road and street closures.
