The Gueydan Duck Festival starts tonight and goes through Sunday at the Duck Festival Park located at 404 Duck Festival Road Gueydan, La. It is four days of great food and music. We have the official lineup of entertainment for this year's festival.

The Grammy Award ceremonies were back in February and 'The Band Courtbouillon' which consists of Wayne Toups, Steve Riley and Wilson Savoy won the Grammy Award for ‘Best Regional Roots Music Album”. At the ceremony, Wayne Toups was on hand to accept the award but didn't get to keep the trophy.  That is because each Grammy award is handmade which takes a few months.  Well they were finally done and

Back when he was a hungry young man (and a questionable dresser), Wayne Toups and ZydeCajun were positioned as the "next big thing."  We found this cool video footage of Wayne from a British documentary called "Aly Meets The Cajuns" from 1988.  In honor of his appearance in Lake Charles this weekend, we're taking a trip back.

Here I go again.  I was surfing through You tube for some interesting Cajun music videos when I came across this video. It's Wayne Toups and from what they say on the post on You Tube, this was shown on MTV back in the day. In the video, Wayne talks about the Cajun music and the heritage and roots of the music.  It's really great!  Check it out!
