Tigers Stadium

After a rough week in the Baton Rouge area due to Hurricane Isaac, the LSU Tigers are geared up and ready for their season and home opener against North Texas tonight. If you are going to the game like me, be aware of some parking lot closures and traffic alerts heading to the game.

With all eyes on Isaac, the LSU football team are still preparing for their game against North Texas this Saturday night at Tigers Stadium. LSU Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Joe Alleva issued a statement today regarding the game and tropical storm Isaac.  For now, the Tigers plan on playing the game but of course that could change.

Last night on the campus of LSU, the new stadium lights were tested and unveiled on Twitter. Herb Vincent, LSU's Associate Vice Chancellor for University Relations and Senior Associate Athletic Director, tweeted a couple pictures of what the stadium looks like at night with the new purple and gold lights that were added. Forty seven days LSU football fans!  That is how long we have to wait until kickoff for the first LSU football game. Today, LSU announced that the first three home football games will be under the lights at Tiger Stadium.

The LSU Tigers are 13-0 and heading to New Orleans on January 9th to play for the BCS National Championship! I know they still have one game left to play but the University and the athletic department has released the 2012 home and away football schedule. We wanted to share it with all you Tiger fans out there.
