McNeese Cowboys

The McNeese baseball team were shut down in the final five innings last night as the Houston Cougars defeated the Cowboys 8-2 at Cowboy Diamond. The Cowboys will be back in action again today at noon here in Lake Charles as they host "Kids Day At The Park"at Cowboy Diamond.

The McNeese Cowboys baseball team are in the middle of a 5 game losing streak and it won't get any easier for the Cowboys tonight when they take on #2 team in the country in the Ragin Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette.

The McNeese baseball team lost two out of three games to Northwestern State over the weekend at Cowboy Diamond in Lake Charles.

McNeese State Athletic department has announced the 2014 football schedule for the Cowboys which will feature six home games and will travel to take on a huge college football program when the face the Nebraska Corn Huskers.

Do you have a fever and the only prescription is Cowbell?  Well you better head to a pharmacy for that fever because you wont get Cowbell this Saturday at Cowboys Stadium for the McNeese playoff game. The NCAA has put out a new set of rules for playoff games and one is that no artificial noise-makers, including cowbells, will not be allowed inside the stadium Saturday.

The McNeese Cowboys football team will be in action tonight at Cowboys stadium against Northwestern. Before the game, Richard LeBouef will be performing live at the Cowboy Corral today starting at 4:30 p.m. and it is a free concert.

This morning, I had the Quarterback for the McNeese Cowboys Cody Stroud in the studio.  We talked about the big win over then #2 Sam Houston last week and his outlook for the rest of the season.

After a real nail biter last Saturday, The McNeese Cowboys have made another jump in the polls.  The Cowboys beat West Alabama with 45 seconds left in the game to come out victorious 44-42 and with doing so, they are inching up in the two major polls.

You couldn't ask for a better start for the 2013 football season for the McNeese Cowboys.  The went down to Tampa and beat up the University of South Florida and set a couple of records.  Then they came home and drummed Arkansas Pine-Bluff last weekend to start the year at 2-0. For their efforts, the McNeese Cowboys made a big jump in this weeks polls.

It is football season and the McNeese Cowboys return home for the first time since their huge victory over the University of South Florida last week.
