We love to party in Southwest Louisiana and no one is trying to cramp your style. You are just ask to do it responsibly. The purpose of these checkpoints is to make our roads safer. Designate a driver before the evening starts and you have no worries. My friends and I rotate this duty.

The Louisiana State Police is going to be conducting a DWI sobriety checkpoint this tonight April 6th somewhere in Calcasieu parish. It is an ongoing effort to keep the highways and roadways safe.

In a effort to keep kids safe while you travel on the roadways and highways, the Louisiana State Police is putting on an event geared toward checking your child safety seats or car seats to make sure they are safe for your kids to ride in your vehicle. The event is free and will be held at Lake Charles Toyota in Lake Charles this Saturday.

From the Louisiana State Police Troop D: Avoid Interstate-210 east bound at the Calcasieu River Bridge for the next hour, due to a multiple car crash. Detour to Interstate-10 east bound as an altermate route. We will keep you posted....
