Last year was the time that Coushatta Casino Resort held their "Coushatta Crossroads Festival" celebrating Cajun and Zydeco music.  It was such a big success, they are doing it again this year. The festival is slated for Saturday, October 13th in Coushatta's pavilion where they hold the big concerts.  Who is playing?

  Last night, a new episode aired of the popular show "Cajun Pawn Stars" on the History channel and it featured legendary Cajun music artist Jo-EL Sonnier. On the show, someone had brought in a Monarch accordion to sell. The folks at Silver Dollar Pawn (The store in Alexandria, La that is featured in the show) did not know if it was a fake or the real deal so they called in an expert.  J

  The 2012 Louisiana Railroads Days Festival is in DeQuincy Louisiana with an all start lineup of music beginning at 3 p.m. today. Well it's the first weekend of 2012 and wondering what to do this weekend? Where are your favorite Cajun, Swamp pop and Zydeco artists playing this weekend? Well here is a lineup of the where they are playing!

Legendary Cajun music artist Jo-El Sonnier and Grammy winner Chubby Carrier have teamed up and will be in concert together this Friday January 6th in Opelousas. The concert will take place at the Delta Grand Theatre in Opelousas, Louisiana and will start at 7 p.m. Here is all the info you need to get your tickets to the concert!

After the passing of Cleveland Crochet Monday, I got a chance to catch up with Jo-el Sonnier to talk about the man who brought us so many hits. Jo-el had some interesting stories about how he met Cleveland and the first time he saw him play. here is our interview.
