Jo-El Sonnier

Jean Lafitte and his band of pirates will take over the city of Lake Charles tonight.  They will force Lake Charles Mayor Randy Roach and other local area Mayors to walk the plank and it will mark the start of the two week festival known as Contraband Days. The festival takes place in downtown Lake Charles on the Civic Center grounds with carnival rides, food, events and entertainment.

Contraband Days 2013 kicks off this week and will go for two full weeks in Lake Charles.  Contraband Days is located on the Lake Charles Civic Center Grounds. The festival runs from Tuesday April 30th through Sunday May 12th, 2013.  The Cajun music day will be on Saturday, May 13th featuring a all-star lineup of bands.

The Cajun French Music Association (CFMA) will be hosting a Cajun Dance and Jam Session tonight March 1st and they will also be featuring legendary Cajun and Country artist Jo-El Sonnier who will be doing a tribute to Iry LeJuene. Here are all the details.
