The high school football season is here and it kicks off tonight with the Sulphur football jamboree at Matt Walker stadium and will featuring six local teams.

So last Friday a bunch of teams from Southwest Louisiana received a playoff birth in the first round of the high school playoffs. That was the good news. The bad news? After the first round was played, only fourteen teams from the area survived to make it into round two of the playoffs which begins this Friday night.
