The McNeese Cowboys football team will come back to the hole tonight for Senior night and the regular season finale against I-10 rival Lamar at Cowboys stadium.

The McNeese Cowboys dropped a must win game on the road last Saturday losing to Southeastern Louisiana 28-9. The loss dropped the Cowboys football team to 6-4 on the season and 4-3 in Southland conference play and the loss dropped the Pokes big in the polls!

The McNeese Cowboys football will be looking to rebound from the 31-16 loss to Stephen F Austin at Cowboys stadium last Saturday night. The McNeese Cowboys are now 6-3 overall and 4-2 in Southland Conference play. The Cowboys are in a must win situation to have any hopes of making it into the FCS playoffs.

The McNeese Cowboys overcame a big second half surge by Northwestern State last Saturday and eventually won 35-28. The win improved the Cowboys football team to 6-2 on the season and 4-1 in Southland conference play and it also moved the Pokes up in the polls!

The McNeese Cowboys football team continue their road trip today as the head up to North Louisiana to take on Northwestern State tonight is a huge Southland Conference Match up.

The McNeese Cowboys is on the road today as they take on Incarnate Word in San Antonio Texas. McNeese is coming off of a big Homecoming win over Abilene Christian last Saturday 31-20. The win improved the Cowboys to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in Southland Conference play.

The McNeese Cowboys overcame six turnovers to still take the win from Abilene Christian last Saturday night for homecoming as they won 31-20. The National polls were released yesterday and the Cowboys find themselves in the exact same position in the polls as last week.

After a stunning loss to Sam Houston State on Saturday 38-22, the McNeese Cowboys football team took a hit in the national polls. The Cowboys dropped out of the top five in both polls.  In the FCS Coaches poll McNeese dropped from # 4 to # 10, while the Sports Network poll the pokes dropped from # 5 to # 11...

The McNeese Cowboys Football team are now 3-1 and 1-0 in Southland Conference play on the season after beating Nicholls 45-3 last Saturday night in Cowboys Stadium. The win is the third straight for the Pokes. However the Cowboys did not advance in the national polls for their efforts. For the second straight week the Cowboys are ranked # 4 in the FCS Coaches poll and #5 in the Sports Network top 25.

The McNeese Cowboys enjoyed a bye week last week after going 1-1 in their first two games. The Cowboys also we rewarded this week moving up in the national polls.
