Today, we celebrate the Co-founder of Cajun Radio Dave Soileau. Today is Dave's Birthday and he would have turned "68" today. This morning, I am paying tribute to Dave, My dad, by playing his favorite music, telling stories, playing track of his voice that we have and even having special guests telling stories about him. Here is a little history about the man we honor today:

Cajun Radio is celebrating nine years of being on the air full time 24 hours a day playing Cajun, Swamp Pop and Zydeco music only. It was a dream of my dad Dave Soileau's and I to have a full time 24 hour a day Cajun Radio station and nine years ago it happened.  Here is a little history about Dad and I and the history of doing Cajun music on the radio which led up to Cajun Radio going on the air.

CajunRadio would not be what it is today without Dave Soileau's vision and passion for Cajun music. Unfortunately, we lost him in 2007 at the age of 61.  Today would have been Dave Soileau's 65th birthday, so we wanted to celebrate the life and contributions he gave to Cajun music and to his family.
