The Iowa Rabbit Festival is back!  This years festival is March 15th thru March 17th, 2012.  There is a new twist to this years festival. In years past, the Iowas Rabbit Festival was on a Friday through Sunday but this year the festival kicks off on Thursday Night March 15th with the popular band "The Chee Weez" and will run through Saturday night March 17th with loads of Cajun and Zydec

It's another busy weekend  as your favorite bands and artists hit the lake area for another weekend of great entertainment. Here is what is going on this weekend.

Well it's the first weekend of 2012 and wondering what to do this weekend? Where are your favorite Cajun, Swamp pop and Zydeco artists playing this weekend? Well here is a lineup of the where they are playing!

Legendary Cajun music artist Jo-El Sonnier and Grammy winner Chubby Carrier have teamed up and will be in concert together this Friday January 6th in Opelousas. The concert will take place at the Delta Grand Theatre in Opelousas, Louisiana and will start at 7 p.m. Here is all the info you need to get your tickets to the concert!

5-4-3-2-1 Happy New Year everyone!  It's been a great year here at Cajun Radio and we wanted to say thank you to all of  you for making Cajun Radio what it has become! Reflecting back on this year, we have had a lot of fun with you guys and gals with great festivals, interviews and concerts.  Here is a look back on 2011.

Every year, it seems like Cajun music takes a bigger and bigger spotlight on the world stage, and we can certainly think of a few names that helped to make that phenomenon happen.  But in the end, who did 2011 BELONG to?  Who's year was it?  We're asking you to help us name the Cajun Radio 2011 Artist of the Year!

We were honored to welcome Grammy-award winner Chubby Carrier to the Cajun Radio studios this morning.  He not only shared his stories about what it was like to win music's highest award, but he shared some of his favorite music with us -- including this Clifton Chenier classic:

Grammy award winner Chubby Carrier will be in the Cajun Radio studio's Wednesday morning with me, Mike Soileau. We will talk to Chubby about his Grammy experience and him being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

This is Chubby Carrier's year!!  First he took home the Grammy  for best Cajun/Zydeco album and now he is being inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. The ceremony is this  Sunday, October, 16th at the Festivals Acadiens et Creoles in Lafayette, LA.

The Grammy Award winner Chubby Carrier has now put out a music video for his hit song "Zydeco Junkie".  Check it out!!!!!

Chubby Carrier & The Bayou Swamp Band kicks off Downtown at Sundown tonight at 6pm on the Corner of Ryan Street & Broad Streets in Lake Charles.
