The Louisiana State Police was calling all cars last night in search of a suspect who fled after crashing into a ditch in Mossville in a very expensive Bentley.  Here is a news release from the State Police:

The Sheriff's Office received a  complaint about a young girl seen eating out of a trash can in Moss Bluff which resulted in the arrest of the  mother and grandmother of the child.

Nearly 1,000 kids die each year due to drowning, and for people between the ages of 5 and 24, drowning is the second leading cause of accidental death.

A sad story coming from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office today.  An 18th Month old child is dead at the hands of the baby's mothers boyfriend.

Another drug bust has occurred in the lake area.  The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested a man in reference to him creating and/or operating a clandestine lab.

Nathan Adams has been arrested a couple times in the past year for several sexual battery charges on two different juvenile girls. Now after his two arrests this past year, a 42 year old woman came forward charging that Adams did the same to her in 1979 when she was only 11 years old. Adams has now been also indicted for Rape.

Alright folks in the lake area, the Brimstone Museum in Sulphur is set to open two new exhibits starting Thursday.

The Lake Charles Fire Department received a call around 2am this morning about a fire at Cormie's Grocery located at Big Lake Road and Country Club Road.
