The City of Lake Charles is getting in the holiday spirit "Swamp Pop" style. The Louisiana Crossroads series is bringing some big names when it comes to Cajun and Swamp Pop music.

The Louisiana Crossroads series continues as The City of Lake Charles presents “Lil’ Band O’ Gold Swamp Pop Christmas Pageant” Wednesday, December 7 at 7:00 PM. at Central School Arts and Humanities Center Theater, 809 Kirby Street. This will be a one-of-a-kind, over-the-top holiday extravaganza featuring Warren Storm, Tommy McClain, David Egan, Steve Riley, CC Adcock, Richard Comeaux, Dickie Landry, David Ranson, and Pat Breaux. The concert series is known for its trademark mix of music and conversation, which includes moderated artist and audience question and answer sessions. This specially created show will be full of amazing music, infectious spirit, and surprises better than anything you’ll find in your stocking.

Advance tickets are $10 on line at www.louisianacrossroads.org, or at the Arts and Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana on the second floor of Central School. Tickets at the door are $12.

Louisiana Crossroads 12th season will continue in the Central School Theatre with live broadcasts via 100,000-watt regional National Public Radio affiliate KRVS, simultaneously streaming audio worldwide via krvs.org. Upcoming concerts will be a Tribute to Louisiana’s Little Walter, featuring James Cotton, with Henry Gray, March 7, 2012; and De Temps Antan, Cedric Watson, Anna Laura Edmiston and David Greely—Exploring Quebecois, Acadian and Cajun/Creole Connections, April 11, 2012.
