A 13-month-old baby is dead after sustaining skull fractures from being thrown across the room. The mother's boyfriend, Trent Dubroc, 24, of Sulphur, is being held on a $1.5 million bond after admitting to the act.

Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson Kim Myers said the child was brought in to a local hospital on Saturday, September 28. Doctors learned that the baby had suffered head trauma and rushed the infant to Baton Rouge. After being on life support over the weekend, the child died this morning.

Deputies questioned family members and learned that Dubroc had hurled the child across the room "out of frustration." He then put the child back in its crib and "notified no one."

By the time the child was taken to the hospital, Dubroc was already in jail on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court for previous video voyeurism charges.
