Other than not playing this Sunday, Drew Brees has had a pretty incredible season.  He broke Dan Marino's passing record and now has won the Fed Ex Player of the Year award.

Drew will also be appearing on Late night with Jimmy Fallon tonight (Feb. 2nd) on NBC.

Drew Brees has become the face of the New Orleans Saints and now he is making his rounds and winning awards!

QB Drew Brees will make a guest appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” this Thursday (Feb. 2). The show begins at 11:35 pm CT.   Late Night will broadcast from the Hilbert Circle Theatre in Indianapolis Wednesday through Friday as part of NBC’s Super Bowl XLVI.

The NFL today announced Saints QB Drew Brees as the winner of the ninth annual FEDEX AIR & NFL Player of the Year at a press conference in Indianapolis, site of Super Bowl XLVI.

Brees set the single-season record for most passing yards with 5,476, eclipsing DAN MARINO’s record of 5,084 yards set in 1984. Brees also set the NFL record for completion percentage (71.2) and most completions in a season (468). Brees, who was named to the NFC’s 2012 Pro Bowl roster, led the NFL with 46 touchdowns passes and an average of 342 passing yards per game.

Drew has now won the award four of the nine years it has been in announced.  Brees won the award in 2006, 2008, 2009 and now for the 2011 season.
