Jonathan Vilma, linebacker for The New Orleans Saints filed a lawsuit against the NFL on Saturday.

The lawsuit which claims commissioner, Roger Goodell failed to make a timely appeal ruling regarding his season-long suspension, in connection with their bounty investigation.  The suit was filed in hopes to get at the least a temporary restraining order that would allow him to keep playing.

This is the second suit Vilma has filed on the matter, the first which was filed in May seeks unspecified damages from Goodell for defamation of character.  Though, in regards to this particular case, Legal Analyst for ESPN, Roger Cossack, says that it is a weak one.
