History is being made at Delta Downs when three horses that raced In the Delta Downs Jackpot will start in today's 139th Kentucky Derby.

Track Announcer Don Stevens with Delta Downs told us that Goldencents, Mylute and Itsmyluckyday each raced in Vinton, Louisiana during the Delta jackpot and are now on their way to the starting gate at Churchill Downs.

Wayne Toups, Steve Riley And Wilson Savoy ‘The Band Courtbouillon’ Receive Their Grammy Awards [VIDEO]

The Grammy Award ceremonies were back in February and 'The Band Courtbouillon' which consists of Wayne Toups, Steve Riley and Wilson Savoy won the Grammy Award for ‘Best Regional Roots Music Album”.

At the ceremony, Wayne Toups was on hand to accept the award but didn't get to keep the trophy.  That is because each Grammy award is handmade which takes a few months.  Well they were finally done and the guys received their Grammy Awards this week complete with their names on them.

Jean Lafitte and his band of pirates will take over the city of Lake Charles tonight.  They will force Lake Charles Mayor Randy Roach and other local area Mayors to walk the plank and it will mark the start of the two week festival known as Contraband Days.

The festival takes place in downtown Lake Charles on the Civic Center grounds with carnival rides, food, events and entertainment.
