Movies Under The Stars In Lake Charles

The highly popular "Movies Under The Stars" is returning back in October of 2013 for it's fall run at the Prien Lake Park in Lake Charles. Movies are scheduled for all four Friday's beginning this Friday, October 4^th, and continuing the series October 11th, 18th and 25th, 2013. Here is the lineup of films.

Movies Under the Stars presents:

October 4^th – “The Avengers” –The only thing that can save the planet from a super villain is a team of super-humans including Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye. Find out why writer/director Joss Whedon has gained such a loyal fan following in his first superhero movie.

October 11^th – “Annie (1982)” – First she was a comic strip, then a Broadway musical and finally one of the cutest orphans to grace the silver screen. Watch the spunky orphan Annie search for a loving place to call home in this 1982 family classic featuring Carol Burnett.

October 18^th – “Star Trek: Into Darkness” – Captain Kirk leads his crew into the middle of a war-zone to capture a one man weapon of mass destruction known as Khan.

October 25^th – “Brave” – See the Oscar’s Best Animated Feature of 2012 on the big screen again with Pixar’s tale of a feisty female archer. Princess Merida conjures up a big helping of bravery as she goes on a quest to undo a beastly curse.

Movies Under the Stars is a free event that’s open to the public. Each event date will begin at dusk 7:00pm. Seating is first come first serve and residents are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets and refreshments. Snacks can also be purchased on-site.
