Well Cowboy baseball fans, the McNeese baseball season has come to an end.  The McNeese Cowboys baseball team were eliminated yesterday in the Southland Conference (SLC) baseball tournament to end their season.

The Cowboys enter the SLC tournament as the fourth seed.  They lost their first game on Wednesday to Sam Houston State 5-1 which put the pokes into the losers bracket and they faced elimination.  Well yesterday they faced Southeastern Louisiana and gave it a good run ultimately losing 3-2 in 12 innings. That loss eliminated the Cowboys from the tournament and ended their season.

The Pokes finished the season with a mark of 32-25 and 18-12 in SLC play.  This was a big improvement over last season where the Cowboys only finished two games over five hundred with a mark of 30-28.

Congrats go out to the Pokes on a good season!
