The Cowboys Baseball Season has been a series of fours. They won the first four games. Then they lost the next four and have now won their last four in a row. Can they stop this madness and win their next game?

This winning streak started with an improbable 5-4 17 inning mid week win in Lafayette. The win came against a Ragin' Cajun team that last season went deep in the College World Series. The next win was another extra inning affair Friday night. The Cowboys defeated UTSA 6-5. Connor Loyd performed late inning magic again as his 10th inning hit score the winning run in a Cowboy walk off. Saturday's double header gave the Pokes two more wins.

In the first game Cowboys bats were combined for 16 hits scoring four runs while Cowboy starting pitcher Brice Kingsley pitched seven strong innings and only gave up one run. The second game was a come from behind 5-3 win after the Pokes put together a four hit three run rally in the eighth inning.

The Pokes will try to stop the four wins and four loss pattern when they travel to Huntsville on Tuesday to take on Sam Houston State.
