McNeese Men & Womens Basketball Teams In Semi’s

Both the McNeese Men & Women's Basketball teams have made it to the Semi -Finals in the Southland Conference Tournament and both play today.

McNeese State rolled into the State Farm 2011 Southland Conference basketball tournament semifinals with a 61-54 victory over Nicholls on Wednesday.

It was the third time this season that the Cowboys, the tournament's No. 1 seed, had beat the Colonels.

They will meet Texas in the semis at 8:33 p.m. on Thursday.

Southland Conference Champs and top seed McNeese State Cowgirls Basketball team will face no. 4 seed UTSA at 2:33 p.m. in the second of two semifinal games of the State Farm Southland Conference Tournament Thursday at the Merrell Center in Katy, Texas.

The semifinal game for McNeese is the first since 2005 and only the fourth overall for the Cowgirls.
