The McNeese Cowboys overcame a big second half surge by Northwestern State last Saturday and eventually won 35-28.  The win improved the Cowboys football team to 6-2 on the season and 4-1 in Southland conference play and it also moved the Pokes up in the polls!

With the victory, the Cowboys moved from # 10 to #6 in the FCS Coaches Poll and from #11 to #6 in the Sports Network rankings.  Here is the complete polls:

The Cowboys will return back home this week after their recent two game road trip and take on Stephen F. Austin in Cowboys Stadium.
