Last week, the McNeese Cowboys football team were inching up the top 25 college football polls. McNeese was #19 in the FCS Coaches Poll and #20 in the STATS FCS Top 25.

Well, with the Pokes' loss of 31-24 on the road at Southeastern, the Cowboys are now 3-3 on the year, and have fallen out of both FCS College football polls. I can't remember the last time McNeese wasn't in the top 25 in either poll.

Of course, North Dakota state sits at #1 in both polls, while Southland conference foes Sam Houston State sit at #2, with a record of 5-0. The Pokes will travel to Huntsville on November 5th to take on Sam Houston State.

For now, the Cowboys get ready to return home this weekend to take on Central Arkansas at Cowboy's Stadium. The game will kick off at 6:00 p.m. here in Lake Charles.
