The Cowboys football team lost a heartbreaker last Saturday night in Lake Charles to Stephen F Austin 31-28. The loss dropped the pokes to 1-2 on the season.

The Cowboys will try and regroup and prepare for another Southland Conference game this Saturday on the road in San Antonio when they face off against Incarnate Word.

The FCS national polls came out yesterday and for the second straight week, the blue and gold have fallen in the polls. The Cowboys dropped to #20 in this week's FCS coaches poll and to #24 in both the STATS and the Hero Sports media polls.
