McNeese Cowgirls Basketball Start Southland Conference Title Defense Today

The McNeese Cowgirls basketball team will start their defense of their Southland Conference title today in Katy, Texas. They are the #2 seed in the tournament.

The Cowgirls won the Southland Conference title last year and look to repeat that again this season.  The Southland Conference women's basketball tournament begins today with the Cowgirls up in the first game.

What time and where can you hear the game?The Cowgirls who are (23-7, 13-3) will be making its 13^th overall Southland Conference Tournament appearance and fourth appearance under fifth year head coach Brooks Donald Williams.

The game will be today, Tuesday,  March 6th at noon and they will take on #7 seeded Southeastern Louisiana.  The pregame will begin around 11:45 a.m. this morning. LISTEN LIVE HERE

Game 3: No. 8 Nicholls State vs. No. 1 Central Arkansas, 6 p.m.
Game 4: No. 5 Lamar vs. No. 4 Stephen F. Austin, 8:30 p.m.

Thursday, March 8 – Semifinals
Game 5: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2, 12:05 p.m. (Southland TV)
Game 6: Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4, 2:33 p.m. (Southland TV)

Friday, March 9 – Championship

So there is your bracket.  Basically if the Cowgirls win today, they will play again Thursday at noon and if they win that game they will play in the championship game on Friday at 7:05 p.m.
