The 2014 McNeese football season is getting close.  The Cowboys are about three weeks away from their players reporting to fall camp and getting prepared for the season.

The Southland conference has announced that the Cowboys will be featured on television at least three times in the 2014 football season.

The McNeese Cowboys finished the 2013 season with a 10-3 record and making it into the FCS playoffs.  Now the Cowboys found out that they will be featured as the Southland Conference Television Network Game of the Week on October 11th when they travel to take on Sam Houston State and on November 15th when they headed over to Southeastern Louisiana.  Both of those games will kick off at 3:00 p.m.

The Cowboys' Oct. 18th Homecoming game against Abilene Christian will air exclusively on ESPN3.com at 6:00 p.m.

The Cowboys open up the season on September 6th when they take on Nebraska.  That game will also be televised but a network has not yet been announced.
