This morning, the FCS playoff brackets were announced and the McNeese Cowboys football team found out their fate.  After coming back from behind to beat Lamar last night 42-38, the Cowboys woke up to some great news.

When the brackets were released this morning, the pokes found themselves ranked as the No. 6th seed in the playoffs.  After their 10-2 overall record this season, the Cowboys were also rewarded with a first round bye and will get a home playoff game.

The Cowboys will face either Jacksonville State or Samford who will face each other on November 30th.  The winner of that game will have to travel to Lake Charles on December 7th to face McNeese in Cowboys stadium.  The game has been set for a 6:00 p.m. kickoff.
