McNeese Cowboys Baseball Season Ends With 4 Straight Losses

The McNeese Baseball team needed to win at least one of their final three games of the year to possibly get a berth in the Southland Conference Tournament.  Unfortunately, the lost all  3 games which ended their season.

THIBODAUX –McNeese State dropped its third straight game to Nicholls here Saturday and also bowed out in the race for a spot in the Southland Conference post season tournament.

The Colonels scored a run in the bottom of the 10th inning for a 4-3 victory to earn a tourney berth with a 15-18 league record. McNeese concluded its conference season at 14-19 and finished 26-30 overall.

Nicholls and Lamar, a winner over Stephen F. Austin on Saturday, clinched the last two berths in the tournament.
