Cam Cameron, who was the former offensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens and was recently named the new offensive coordinator at LSU, is set to receive a three year contract worth over 3 million dollars.

Here are the details of the contract.

Cameron will receive a three-year contract that will pay him $600,000 for the 2013 season.  Then Cam Cameron will receive $1.3 million in his second year and $1.5 million for the last year of his contract, which runs ends after the 2015 season.

Of course, the LSU Board of Supervisors will have to approve the contract before it will be set in stone.

As an LSU fan, I hope head coach Les Miles gives Cameron the freedom to take over the offense and open it up.  It seems that in this day and age of College football, the  top teams in college football have a strong running game but they also have an aerial attack to balance out.  We will have to see.

LSU's first game of the 2013 season will be Saturday, August 31st in Arlington Texas at Cowboys Stadium when they take on TCU.
