If you have ever been to Death Valley in Baton Rouge, you know how big the stadium is already. Well get ready Tiger fans, because it is about to get even bigger.

A state financing panel has given their stamp of approval and now LSU can begin their planned expansion to Tiger Stadium.

The Bond Commission gave quick passage without objection Thursday to a $75 million borrowing plan that will be used to add new seats to the stadium's south end zone.
The expansion will push Tiger Stadium's capacity to nearly 100,000 people, making it among the largest university stadiums in the Southeastern Conference.

The borrowing, to be paid off over up to 30 years, is part of a construction plan that also includes other athletic facility projects.

The plans include adding 60 suites, approximately 3,000 club seats and general seating for up to another 1,500 people above the existing south end zone seats.

The expansion will add more seats which means more screaming fans.  I am sure will make it even louder than already is for home games.  I love it!
