After all the drama that happened over the past few weeks, it's time for the LSU football team to put that behind them and focus on the task at hand which is the Oregon game.

You have been waiting Tiger fans for the kickoff of the 2011 season ever since the Tigers beat Texas A&M in the Cotton bowl.

Ironically, the Tigers begin the 2011 season in the same stadium they finished off the 2010 season. In Dallas at Cowboys Stadium.

One of the most anticipated and talked about season openers in school history is a day away as fourth-ranked LSU will square off against third-ranked Oregon at 7 p.m. CT on Saturday in the Cowboys Classic in Arlington, Texas.

Playing the marquee game during the opening week of the 2011 college football season, LSU and Oregon will become the first top-five teams to square off at a neutral site during the first week of a season since 1984. It's only the third time in the history of college football that a two top-five teams meet during the first week of the season at a natural site.

Oregon is also the highest-ranked season-opening opponent for LSU in school history, matching the Tigers' game against third-ranked Texas A&M in 1995.

LSU and Oregon will be televised to a national audience on ABC.
