LSU Football Moves Up In AP Poll

So college football is underway Tiger fans and for us the first week was a big success.  The Tigers beat BYU blanking them 27-0 last Saturday night in New Orleans.

In the preseason polls LSU was #13 in the AP poll and #12 in the coaches poll.  Well the new rankings are out and the Tigers football team moved up in the AP but stayed steady in the coaches polls.

LSU moved from #13 to #12 this week in the AP poll while staying put at #12 in the coaches poll.

Other SEC teams in the top 25 include of course Alabama who is #1 in both polls.  Auburn is #13 while Georgia sits at #15.  Florida is #22 while Tennessee sits firm at #25 in the AP polls.

LSU will take on Chattanooga in their first home game of the year this Saturday night in Death Valley.  The game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and will be televised on the SEC alternate channel.
