Tiger fans were smiling ear to ear last Saturday evening when the clock hit triple zero's in the 4th quarter and the final score was LSU 45 Auburn 21.  What most fans and the media were impressed with most was the offensive output of the Tigers behind the monster running of sophomore running back Leonard Fournette.

Fournette just ran over people onto a career rushing day running for 228 yards and three touchdowns.  The Tigers as a team had a mind blowing 411 rushing yards as they blew out then ranked #18 Auburn.

For their efforts, the LSU Tigers football team jumped up big in the polls.  The Tigers moved from #13 to #8 in the AP Poll and moved from #14 to #9 in the Coaches Poll.  Auburn fell out of both polls after being ranked # 6 just two weeks ago.

Also #2 Alabama lost to Ole Miss and #6 USC lost to unranked Stanford which really shook up the polls this week.  Most impressive in the polls is that Ole Miss jumped up 12 spots to #3 in the AP poll after beating Alabama. LSU still has to play Ole Miss and Alabama this year and both games will be on the road.

Here is how the rankings look for this week leading into week four of the season.
