The LSU Tigers football team's big upset over then #3 Ole Miss Saturday night in Tigers Stadium had vaulted them up big time in the national polls.  LSU scored with five minutes left in the game to take a 10-7 lead over Ole Miss.

The Tigers defense held strong on two different possessions by Ole Miss and came away with the upset victory!

The Tigers moved from #23 to # 16 in the AP Poll and are now ranked # 17 in the Amway Coaches Poll that was released Sunday morning.
