The LSU Tigers are set to take on Syracuse this morning as they will travel up to upstate New York in a very rare early morning game.

The LSU Tigers are 2-0 on the season and are #8 in the AP poll this week and #9 in the Coaches poll.  Back in 1989, LSU played Syracuse in the Hall of Fame Bowl which is now known as the Outback Bowl.  Syracuse beat LSU 23-10 in that game.

Syracuse is from the ACC conference and is 3-0 on the season.  They lost their freshman quarterback Eric Dungey last week after he took a big hit during the Orange's 30-27 overtime win over Central Michigan.  He will most likely be replaced by sophomore walk-on Zack Mahoney for today's game against LSU.

Today the game between the Tigers and the Orange is set for a 11:00 a.m. kickoff Central time.  The game will also be televised nationally ESPN right after College Gameday.
