Last night, Aaron Nola put on a pitching clinic and it took the LSU Tigers baseball team 8 Innings before they posted two runs on the scoreboard and won game one of the three game series against Oklahoma 2-0.

The #1 ranked Tigers will face Oklahoma again tonight for the chance to punch their ticket to Omaha.LSU's starting pitcher Aaron Nola was brilliant last night going 9 innings and throwing a  two-hit complete game shutout. It also took the Tigers 7 innings before they finally figured out the pitching of Oklahoma's starting pitcher Jonathan Gray.  

In the bottom of the 8th inning, a triple by Jacoby Jones and a double by Tyler Moore was enough to score two runs and the Tigers held in the top of the 9th to take a 2-0 victory in game one of the three game Super Regional series.

The LSU Tigers baseball team can now stamp their ticket to the College World series and head to Omaha if the can beat Oklahoma tonight,  Game 2 of the series is tonight at 6:00 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN2.
