Finally, the LSU Tigers baseball team got their only second three game SEC series sweep of the season this past weekend, beating Arkansas. The Tigers needed the wins badly as they entered last weekend losing three out of their last four games. With the wins, LSU is slowly moving back up in the latest polls.

Last week, LSU went 3-0 after not playing a mid-week game. The voters for the college baseball rankings also rewarded the Tigers as LSU has started creeping back up in the rankings.

This week, the Tigers moved up from #13 to #11 in the Baseball America Top 25 poll. LSU last week was in danger of falling right out of the Perfect Game Top 25 poll, but hung on with the #24 spot. However, they moved up a couple of notches to #22 this week.

LSU is currently 31-16 this season, and now four games over .500 at 14-10 in SEC play. The Tigers are headed to South Bend Tuesday and Wednesday, and will take on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame's baseball team.
