Forty seven days LSU football fans!  That is how long we have to wait until kickoff for the first LSU football game.

Today, LSU announced that the first three home football games will be under the lights at Tiger Stadium.

LSU's season-opener against North Texas on Sept. 1 in Tiger Stadium will kickoff at 6 p.m. and will be televised on ESPNU, the Southeastern Conference announced on Monday as the league released the full television slate for the first three weeks of the season.

As part of Monday's release, the league announced that LSU's game on Sept. 8 against Washington will be televised on ESPN and will carry a 6 p.m. CT kickoff.

LSU announced that the Idaho contest in week 3 will be televised on TigerVision with a 7 p.m. CT kickoff.

LSU's home game against Alabama on Nov. 3 and the Tigers' road contest against Arkansas in Fayetteville on Nov. 23. The LSU-Alabama game will kickoff at 7 p.m. while the Tigers game at Arkansas will start at 1:30 p.m.

So get ready Tiger fans because football will  be here before you know it!
