Louisiana State Police Troop D wants citizens of Southwest Louisiana, especially in Westlake, to be aware of an training exercise to be held at the Isle of Capri Casino on Wednesday morning, June 14, until 9 a.m. The Louisiana State Police Gaming Enforcement Division, along with other area law enforcement agencies and casino representatives will participate in the exercise and "the public should not be alarmed.”

The training exercise will help to “improve coordination between area law enforcement agencies and other first responders as well as to ensure readiness in the event of an emergency at an area casino,” said a press release.

Citizens are encouraged to be of emergency vehicles that may be "traveling to the casino with lights and sirens on,” as well as “ a large number of emergency vehicles at the casino.”
